I can see that. The cowboys had zero touchbacks last year. But here's the kicker (no pun intended)..... the only down side to having a kickoff specialist and a different field goal kicker is that field goal kickers need the extra kicks to work out anxiety. That is why Folks accuracy has slightly declined. With that said, my cowboy player of the year would go to Keith Brooking. His leadership has been extremely valuable. Unfortunately the cowboys will lose in the 1st round to either green bay or philadelphia...

David Buehler has made a MAJOR impact. You can't understate the difference he has made on special teams.

But to this point, I gotta go with Miles Austin. Though we still have a relatively small sample of data, he single-handedly has won us a few games now. If he can maintain some sort of consistency, I think he solidifies us at the WR position; whereas several weeks ago, I think we would be looking to spend a high draft pick on one.

Yeah I Shad and Rgiles I see your points about Brooking and Austin Miles,Miles Austin,that kid can flat out play!They have made a major impact this year for sure.The defense is where I am focusing on because at the end of the day you have to be able to stop somebody.Romo is good enough to get the job done too.I guess I'm excited about the kicking game for the simple fact when have you ever heard a kicker referred to as a "beast" of an athelete. I see Austin as being a young,strong,explosive, Wr.He breaks a lot of tackles and has the speed to boot.Gotta love that as well.And Shad I think you may be a little premature on your assesment that Green Bay and Philly will beat Dallas in the playoffs.Right now Dallas is playing lights out on Defense and I only see them getting better.

The defense is playing stellar, but mt concern is Garrett's play calling and the lack of a physical game. I'm a Dallas Cowboy expert, and believe me when I tell you this......they will not get past the first round this year. It's a shame because ultimately this could cost wade his job, despite the huge strides the defense has made this year. Couple that with the fact that the cowboys DO have 3 of the best kickers in the league (mcbriar, folk, bueller), and its a crying shame that this team will not be in the super bowl this year......

typo error- my concern is garett's play calling and the lack of a physical running game (not draws, misdirections, shotgun draws/wtf). The cowboys have one of the biggest and physical offensive lines in all of football, and they pass every 1st down!

You really think they won't get out the first round?I know it will be tough but this team has made remarkable progress this season.I think they have tooo many weapons to Not win in the first round.This current cow team is starting to gel in spite of Wade and Garrett.Either way it will be fun to see how things turn out.
